When the winds come down from the snow-capped montains the snow starts to melt, and appears on our fields. Our coffee trees are filled with white flowers and the white of the heights move to the field of our hills and valleys. It is a signal that Panche Siquila anounces the beggining of a new harvest. Panche Siquila, that's what we call it by ancestral tradition of our land and of our past, the language that was never lost, although they say it is. The winds continue to speak it and it reminds us that we have to preserve the earth we inherit. Siquila is our river and that's how we called it in honor of the sweet sound and the stories that the winds tell us. Being a permanent memory that only a pampered, respected and non attacked land will allow us to continue seeing our snowy fields of white flowers. To be finally a coffee that honors our past, respecting our present for our future, Pancha Siquila.
